So this one fella, Mike Birbiglia, writes this blog (short for bloggospher post) called his Secret Public Journal in which he talks about his life as being a stand-up comedian and all around boss dude. According to one of his posts, he uses this magic Google machine that looks around on the bloggo-internet for his name, so that he can read the stuff that bloggers that arn’t blog about him on their blogs. So maybe the Google-bot will find this?
Hello, Mr. Birbiglia. May I call you Mike? No? I understand, its a little too informal, and we’ve only just not ever met. I have seen some of your stuff on Comedy Central, and also read things on the internet about things that you wrote about.
Anyway, I just want to say I think your are very funny, and I don’t think your pakward. (I know you know what it means, but for the sake of the non-it-getters who may be reading this…) Maybe I will get to see you live sometime? Any plans to come to DC, or Northern VA? That would be boss. Also, congrats on being the most famous person too whom I have ever written an open letter.
Did you see the new Indiana Jones movie yet? I haven’t, I hope its good. How do you feel about avocados? I think they are OK. I bought a bag of them the other day. I only wanted one, but it was one for $3 or a bag of like 8 for $5. I couldn’t pass up that deal. But now I have 8 avocados. I would make guacamole, but apparently it has more than the one ingredient, and the only other food in my apartment is hot dogs. Also I don’t have any tortilla chips, so having a lot of guacamole wouldn’t really solve anything.
Do you think its pretentious when people link to the definition of words they use in their blogs? I think maybe, unless its a common word. The problem is deciding which words are common, which is what makes it pretentious.
Well, anyway, I guess I should let you go. Say “Hi” to Joe.
Later,
Joe
P.s. My grandparents live in Erie, PA. I used to go to that zoo every time I visted them. If you like how lame Erie is, you should go the website. Wow. And if you like lame zoos, you should go to the Salisbury Zoo in Salisbury, MD.
